Almer Lee

Almer played basketball at Ft. Smith Northside, helping them win the state basketball championship in 1998.  Almer was named the MVP of the tournament and earned All-American status.  Almer attended college at Phillips County Community College, averaging 25.5 points per game.  He was recruited by Duddy Waller to play for the Razorbacks and became the first African-American to letter in basketball in Arkansas.  He was named the SWC’s Sophmore of the Year, had an outstanding junior year, but was sidelined in his senior year due to injuries.  He played professional ball in Holland for 2 seasons where he made the All-European Team.
