Bill Phillips
Bill was a gifted athlete at Harrison High, leading his basketball team to a state championship. He was also an All-Conference football player, receiving a scholarship to play at Arkansas State University. He lettered at ASU 4 years, earning First Team All-Southland status in both 1969 & 1970. In 1970, he was named Small College First Team All-American and was named to the All First-Decade Southland Team. Phillip’s 1970 team went undefeated – 11-0 – and was named national championships. Bill played in the 1972 All-American game and was drafted in the 3rd round by the Denver Broncos.
