Larry Jackson

Larry played football at Hot Springs High School, then lettered for the Razorbacks from 1976-1978.  He was named All-Southwest Conference in both 1977 and 1978.  He was also named to the U of A’s All Decade Team for the 1970’s, and ABC TV named Larry as their National Defensive Player of the Year.  His 309 career tackles rank him 12th on the Razorback’s all-time list.  During his playing time, Arkansas went 25-8-2, with a memorable win over Oklahoma (31-6) in the 1978 Orange Bowl.  During his junior year, the Razorbacks were 11-1.  During his senior year, he captained his team to a 9-2-1 record and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl.
