Tim Langford

Dr. Langford was an All-Southland Conference quarterback at ASU.  As a senior he was the first ever recipient of the Terry Gwin Award, presented annually to the top student-athlete in any sport at ASU.  As a second team All-Southland Conference pick in 1983 Langford led ASU in total offense for three seasons and concluded his playing career with 3,745 yards with 1,429 being rushing yards and 2,316 passing yards.  Playing under head coach Larry Lacewell, Tim is still ranked as one of the top 10 players in school history passing percentage.  He was named to the ASU All-Centennial Team in 2014.  Tim Langford was inducted into the A-State Ring of Honor in 2007 (one of only 14 football players and coaches) and in 2008 was inducted into the Arkansas State Hall of Honor.
